missing

life had it's moments..



the date is July 20, 1936
from left, my wife Jans, my daughter in law Rie, my son Jo, my daughters Stien, Jansje (who went missing after ww2) i (said the fool) and my youngest daughter Marietje...

Ooooh Jansje went missing!!! I had a great Uncle who did the same after WW11 ... left a dark hole ...

Jansje really went missing and nobody know what happened to her. the story is that one day her younger sister (Stien), who used to pick her up from work because she was almost blind, was later than usual and she was gone.. the police and everybody searched but she was never found...
if there had been an accident the police would have found out.. so either something terrible happened to her (the thought makes me shiver) or she ran away, migrated to another country, the US are a possibilty...

vfm4 this is a tribute to your grandparents right? eh i actually calculated, 6 years old in 1882 would be 132 years old now...
