There used to be so much detail in children's book illustrations ... in all book illustrations! The colours are still vibrant and the subjects historical! The pages have kept very well with little mold damage. I heard if you freeze paper it kills mold - until the next lot grows. I hope your Grandaughter uses cotton gloves to turn pages :) Thankyou for showing me these!

Storing them in Flikr @#$% or on a blog is as conservational as possible during her times - she is doing a fine job :)

Wow! My sister is a bookseller. In fact, she sells old books and prints. But I've never seen those (Our parents were collectors). Thanks to you and your Grandaughter for showing them to us... :o)
