blue

as a boy i loved to read. there were always books around and one of my favorites was "Lolan's Lotgevallen in Leeuwenland" a translation of one of Rider Haggard's books.
it had lovely lithographs as illustrations and a blue cover..

Christiaan, you are such a Gentleman! It would be more than a pleasure to spend a day scouring your bookshelves ... I'd imagine they would be even more interesting than my Great Grandparent's small collection -which also holds exquisite lithographs:) My Father was a lithographer before a photographer you know ...

alas, lady Anonymous, most of my books didn't survive the travels through time... but my granddaughter takes good care of the few that are left...

btw i think your father must have led a very interesting life..

Very pleased to hear that your Grandaughter has respect for what are great treasures from time :) My Father is still breathing and fast becoming an expert at using digital cameras and Photoshop!
